How to Prepare / Make / Cook - Tandoori roti ?


Tandoori roti

1 kilo maid. 1 ½ tblsps. Baking powder. ½ tblsp. Sugar. 15 grams onion seeds. 1 tsp salt 50 grams melted ghee. 2 eggs 115 grams milk. 2 ½ ounces beaten curds.

Beat eggs well. Add sugar and milk and beat nicely once again. Sieve together flour, salt and baking powder. Mix in melted butter along with curds and milk and mix nicely. Add enough water to form a dough of medium consistency. Knead the dough until it turns very smooth. Cover and set aside for half an hour. Then divide the dough into large walnut-sized balls and shape each ball on your hands into an oblong-shaped roti. Apply melted fat or ghee on both sides of the roti and smear one side of the rote liberally with onion seeds and bake in a tandoor. You can also bake this roti on an open fire or oven or shigri, but it tastes better when baked in a tandoor.
