How to Prepare / Make / Cook -Black channa curry ?
How to make black channa 1 cup black channa. 1 small onion. ½ -inch piece ginger. A few sprigs curry leaves. ½ tsp. Turmeric powder. Pinch of soda. 2 tblsps. Tamarind water. 1 small tomato, diced. Salt and chilli powder to taste. Method of cooking black chana recipeSoak channa overnight in 4 cups water. Next morning, add a pinch of soda and salt and cook till the channas turn very soft. Remove from fire, mash to a paste and pass through a sieve. Grind together onion and ginger. heat 1 tblsp. Ghee and fry the paste to a golden colour. Put in tomato and cook till ghee separates. Put in ¼ cup water, when the water dries, mash to a paste with a wooden spoon and put in the channas along with turmeric, salt, chilli, powder, curry patta and tamarind water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook for 5 to 7 minutes. this curry is extremely beneficial to invalids and anemic people. Try khatte chole recipe given below |
