How to Prepare / Make / Cook - Dilpasand dal ?Dilpasand dal 250 grams urad dal. 75 grams each of channa and rajmah. 250 grams tomatoes, blanced and pureed. 75 grams each of beaten curds and cream. 100 grams white unsalted butter. 25 grams fried cashewnuts, chopped. 1 tblsp. Chilli powder. 1 tblsp. Roasted and and ground cumin seeds. Salt to taste. 1 tsp. Turmeric powder. Wash and soak the dals in 2 glasses water for 4 hours. Then place them
on the fire to cook with 1 tblsp. Ghee and turmeric powder until soft
and almost dry. Mix nicely and remove from fire. Heat butter and put in
curds, tomatoes, seasonings and cook till the butter starts separating.
Put in the dals. Mix nicely, then put in the well-beaten cream and cook
stirring all the time until the mixture turns quite dry. Serve hot garnished
with chopped cashewnuts. |
