How to Prepare / Make / Cook - Urad aur rajmah ?Urad aur rajmah ½ kilo urad dasl with shoas. 125 grams rajmah. 1 big onion, minced. 5 flakes garlic, crushed. 1-inch piece ginger, minced. 1 large tomato diced. ½ tsp. Garam masala. 1 tsp. Coriander powder. Dash of pepper powder. 1 tsp. Chilli powder. 1 tblsp. Crushed anardana. Salt to taste. Soak rajmah in water overnight. Soak urad dal for 4 hours. Heat 2 tblsps.
Ghee and put in onion, ginger and garlic and cook till the mixture starts
changing colour. Drain out rajmah and the dal and add to the mixture.
Fry for a couple of minutes, then put in 2 glasses water and 1 tsp. Turmeric
powder. Cook until the dals are tender. Beat thoroughly with a beater
till creamy and remove from fire. Heat 4 tblsps. Ghee and put in the tomato,
¼ cup curds and chilli powder. When the ghee separates, put into
the dal and mix until the tomato blends thoroughly into the dal. Sprinkle
on top garam masala, pepper and coriander powder and anardana. Stir in
2 tblsps. White butter before serving. |
