How to Prepare / Make / Cook - Marrow halwa ?

Marrow halwa

1 small marrow or pumpkin, peeled and grated fine. ½ small tin condensed milk. 1 tsp essence of rose or kewda. 25 grams each of finely sliced almonds and pistachios. 1 tsp ground cardamom seeds. Silver or gold foil. ¼ cup milk.

Heat 4 tblsps. Ghee and fry marrow or pumpkin to a golden colour. Mix milk in condensed milk and put into the marrow along with nuts and cardamoms. Keep on stirring until the mixture turns thick and pale gold colour. Remove from fire, cover with foil and serve hot or cold according to taste. If you want you can omit condensed milk and use fresh milk, but the halwa tastes very delicious with condensed milk.
