4 sweet potatoes. 1 cup sugar. Dash of salt. ½ cup water.

Scrub, peel and dice potatoes into big pieces. Put water. Sugar and salt on a low fire. Cook till the sugar dissolves and then put in the sweet potatoes. Cook till the potatoes turn tender and the syrup very thick. Serve hot or cold according to taste.
