How to Prepare / Make / Cook - Dum mutton ?


Dum mutton

500 grams mutton. Preferably of leg. 250 grams curds. 125 grams onions. ¼ litre milk. 1 tblsp. Each of garam masala. Coriander powder and ground cumin seeds. 1 inch piece ginger. 1 tsp turmeric powder. Salt and chilli powder to taste.

Beat curds nicely, put in the rest of the ingredients and mix nicely in a dekchi. Cover tightly with a well fitting lid and cook for about an hour. Reduce heat and put in a low flame till the meat is tender and the ghee floats to the top.
