How to Prepare / Make / Cook - Gravy fish ?Gravy fish ½ kilo any white-fleshed fish, cut into slices. 2 medium onions. 6 flakes garlic. 2 big tomatoes blanched and diced. ¾ tsp. Each of turmeric powder, garam masala and ground cumin seeds. Handful of sliced coriander leaves. 4 green chillies, minced. Salt and chilli powder to taste. Clean fish and remove fishy smell. See helpful hints. Then fry lightly
and set aside. Grind onions and garlic to a paste. Heat 2 tblsps. Ghee
and fry the ground paste to a golden brown colour, add spices and fry
for a few seconds, then put in the tomatoes and chillies and cook till
the ghee separates. Put in 2 cups water and cook till dry, put in 2 more
cups of water. Mix thoroughly and bring to a boil, reduce heat and put
in the slices of fish. Cover tightly and cook till the fish is done. Serve
hot garnished with coriander leaves.
