How to Prepare / Make / Cook - Makai ladu ?Makai ladu 2 lbs dry yellow good quality makai. 1 tblsp. Melted ghee. 1 ½ lbs grated jaggery. 2 cups water. Melt ghee in a heavy iron pan and put in the corn. Cover with dekchi and cook over a low fire till all the corn stops popping. Remove from fire and set aside. Melt and strain jaggery, then place over a low fire and form a thick syrup. Mix in popped corn and remove from fire. Cool till bearably hot then form into ladus. Cool completely and store in airtight containers.
