How to Prepare / Make / Cook - Potato kabab ?


Potato kabab

½ kilo potatoes, boiled peeled and mashed. 2 slices of bread, soaked in water and squeezed dry. 1 tsp. Roasted and ground cumin seeds. Salt and chilli powder to taste. 2 cups bread crumbs.

For filling: Use onion chutney (see chapter on pickles and chutneys).

Mix potatoes with bread and seasonings and knead to a smooth mixture. Take a little of the mixture and flatten it on the palm of your hand. Put in some chutney, form into roll, roll nicely in crumbs and deep fry to a golden brown colour, Serve hot.
