How to Prepare / Make / Cook - Bhien kofta curry ?Bhien kofta curry 250 grams bhien. 1 small onion, minced. Handful of coriander leaves. 4 green chillies, minced. ½ inch piece ginger minced. A few finely sliced mint leaves. 2 tblsps. Gram flour. ½ tsp. Ground cumin seeds. Salt and chilli powder to taste. For curry, 2 big onions. 4 flakes garlic. 4 big tomatoes. ½ tsp. Turmeric powder. 1 tsp. Coriander powder. Handful of sliced coriander leaves. Salt and chilli powder to taste. Wash, clean, slice and boil bhien in salted water till tender. Mash to
a smooth paste and then mix in gram flour, onion, coriander leaves, chillies,
ginger, mint ground cumin seeds, salt and chilli powder. Knead to a smooth
mixture and then form into small balls or koftas. Deep fry to a golden
brown colour. Drain and set aside. Grind onion and garlic to a paste.
Heat 2 tblsps. Ghee and fry the paste to a golden colour. Put in the remaining
spices and fry briefly, put in the tomatoes and cook till ghee oozs out.
Pour in 1 cup water. Cook till dry. Pour in 2 cups more water and bring
to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer gently for 5 minutes, toss in
the koftas and simmer for another five minutes. serve hot garnished with
