How to Prepare / Make / Cook - Marrow or pumpkin with channa dal ?Marrow or pumpkin with channa dal 125 grams channa dal. 250 grams pumpkin, peeled and diced. 125 grams tomatoes, diced. 1 big onion, minced. ½ -inch piece ginger, minced. Handful of sliced coriander leaves. 1 tblsp. Ground cumin seeds. ½ tsp. Turmeric powder. ¼ tsp. Garam masala. A few sliced curry patta. Salt and chilli powder to taste. Pinch of soda. Clean and soak dal for 5 hours in water. Heat 2 tblsps. Ghee and fry
onion and ginger till soft. Put in the spices and fry briefly. Add the
dal along with the water in which it was soaked and soda. Cook till the
dal is half done, then mix in the marrow, curry leaves and 2 minced green
chillies and continue cooking till the marrow and dal are both cooked
