How to Prepare / Make / Cook -Sarsoan ka sag ?


Sarsoan ka sag

2 bunches of mustard greens, cleaned and sliced. Pinch of asafoetida. 1 small onion, minced. 1 inch piece ginger, minced. 2 flakes garlic, minced. 1 tsp. Makai flower. ½ tsp. Turmeric powder. 1 large tomato blanched and diced. Salt and chilli powder to taste.

Heat 6 tblsps. Ghee put in asafoetida, then add all the spices, mustard and tomato and salt. Cover tightly and cook till tender. Mash to a very fine paste. Blend flour with 2 tblsps. Water and put in., keep on stirring till the sag turns dry. Heat 2 tblsps. Ghee and toss in ginger. garlic and onion and fry till soft. Mix in and serve hot.
