How to Prepare / Make / Cook - Shahi gobi ?Shahi gobi 250 grams cabbage. 2 medium onions. 6 flakes garlic. ½ tsp. Garam masala. ½ tsp. Turmeric powder. 1 tsp. Ground cumin seeds. 1 tblsp. Coriander powder. 2 tblsps. Beaten curds. 1 medium tomato, diced. 1 ½ tblsps. Gram flour. Handful of sliced coriander leaves. Salt and chilli powder to taste. Grind onion and garlic to a paste. Blend together gram flour, salt and
chilli powder and then add enough water to form a thin batter. Wash the
cabbage and shake dry. Then cut it into thin, long slices. Dip the slices
in batter and deep fry to a pale gold colour. Drain thoroughly and set
aside. Heat 2 tblsps. Ghee and fry onion paste to a golden colour. Put
in spices and fry briefly, then put in the tomatoes and cook till ghee
separates. Mash to a paste with a wooden spoon, then pour in 2 cups water.
Bring slowly to a rolling boil, reduce heat and put in the fried cabbage.
Cook till cabbage is tender and gravy quite thick. Serve garnished with
