How to Prepare / Make / Cook -Tamatar alu ?Tamatar alu 1 medium onion. 2 large tomatoes, diced. 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed and fried lightly. 4 flakes garlic. 1 inch piece ginger. 2 tblsps. Hot milk. ½ tsp. Turmeric powder. ¼ tsp. Each of garam masala and ground cumin seeds. Handful of coriander leaves. 2 green chillies, minced. Salt and chilli powder to taste. Grind onion, ginger and garlic to a paste. Heat 2 tblsps. Ghee and fry
the ground paste nicely. Put in spices and fry briefly. Add potatoes and
fry for 5 minutes. put in tomatoes, chillies and salt. Cover tightly and
cook till the potatoes are done. Pour in the milk. Mix nicely and remove
